Are AltaRounds™ plastic-free?
Yes. AltaRounds™ are plastic-free. They are made from pressed premium coffee and protected by a proprietary plant-based coating that keeps the form intact, helps to preserve flavor and aroma, all while enabling the brewing performance needed for both rich coffee and authentic espresso beverages.
Are AltaRounds™ certified compostable?
Yes. AltaRounds™ are certified home and commercially compostable by BPI, the leading North American authority on compostable products.
Does the plant-based coating dissolve?
No. The plant-based coating remains intact throughout the brewing process and ends up in your brewed bin for disposal.
How are AltaRounds™ different from K-Cup® pods?
Unlike traditional pods that rely on a plastic capsule, AltaRounds™ are made from premium ground coffee and a plant-based coating. The compressed coffee format enables the Keurig Alta™ system to brew both exceptional coffee and authentic espresso.
